Silvi Pereira Milans was the first Brazilian choreographer, instructor and performer in South Australia and she has been educating and promoting Brazilian culture, dance, and music throughout South Australia and Australia for over 13 years.
Dancing since the age of 12, Silvi is an experienced dancer who has developed a unique style blending her Brazilian background in samba, axe’, gafieira, zouk lambada and forro with other styles such as: R&B, hip hop, house, gance, salsa, merengue, bachata and reggaeton. At the age of 18 she became a professional dancer, performing both in SA and nationally with various dance agents and groups. Renowned for her fun & vibrant classes she also loves to perform and is the choreographer for her current performance group, Dança Brasil.
Silvi co- founded Brazil Dance Academy in Adelaide in 2006 after dancing with local Latin Dance Schools teaching & performing and has successfully built many performance teams and groups throughout the years, Adelaide’s first Brazilian shows.
In 2004 Silvi was the first person to introduce Brazilian/Latin Fitness to Adelaide 2004 to Adelaide, and has introduced this to many gyms, such as Next Generation Clubs, Fitness First Australia, Healthy Inspirations & many more and has more recently also introduced ZUMBA.
Silvi is also involved with the Australia Sports Commission and teaches regularly at Adelaide Primary Schools through the Brazilian & Latin music for life programme.
Her performances have embraced Adelaide largest Festivals, National TV appearances, Back-up dancing for International Artists, Dance Festivals, Congresses, and numerous Corporate and Government Events, Charity shows, Product Launches and Universities, Adelaide TAFE’s and many Schools.
