Lidio Freitas

Centro de Dança Jaime Arôxa

Lidio Freitas is a teacher, choreographer and performer, trained and qualified by Jaime Arôxa, with whom he has been working for the past 12 years.

Lidio started his studies in dança de salão in 1997 at the academy Centro de Dança Jaime Arôxa. In 2005 he graduated as a teacher of all Brazilian styles including zouk lambada, bolero, samba de gafieira, forro and soltinho, as well as tango and waltz. In 2005 he also joined the Jaime Arôxa Company of Dance.

Through participation in various workshops with nationally and internationally acclaimed instructors Lidio has further increased his knowledge and skill and has himself run workshops in many cities throughout Brazil.

In 2007 Lidio opened his own academy, an affiliate of Centro de Dança Jaime Arôxa while continuing to teach at the main school in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro. He is currently performing in the show Señor Tango - El musical una noche em Buenos Aires at the Princess Isabel Theatre, Rio de Janeiro.
